Costume Design

Filipiniana Costume

Costume Design refers to the fabrication of apparel for the overall appearance of a character or performer. The whole process usually involves researching, designing and building the actual items from conception.

Costumes may be made for theater or cinema performances but they're not limited to only that. For example at Chamara Boutique most of the Costume Designs we make are for the United Nations Day (UNO), during which children wear the national costumes of their favorite United Nations countries.

UNO Costumes

Costume design should not be confused with Costume coordination which merely involves altering existing clothing, something we also provide at Chamara Boutique.
